Most of you are already familiarized with Team Viewer that allow you to remote connect to your home computer from any location in the world where Internet access is available. For those who doesn’t know this great piece of software you really should give it a try.

Team Viewer is free for personal/non-commercial use, however, every time  that you end the connection in Team Viewer you will see a pop up reminding you that you are using a free version of TeamViewer like the one bellow:

We know this is very annoying, specially when you are accessing a non supervised PC and don’t want the pop up to be there left behind.. And that’s why Gromicho AF Systems created a simply Popup killer only to close that annoying window.

The little application will stay in the Windows system tray and will constantly look for the “Sponsored window” and when it finds it, will give it focus and then close it. You will see just a notification telling you that the Window is gone!

And you can easily add this application to start every time you turn your computer on, using our free tool Quick Run Adder.

[stextbox id=”info” caption=”This application will detect and close popups for TeamViewer in English, Portuguese, Italian (thank you Gund4m) and French (thank you Murlock) if you need another language to be detected just leave a comment bellow.”][/stextbox]

[stextbox id=”warning” caption=”If you like this application and it helped you to save time, you might want to consider doing a donation. To do so, please use the button Donate at the bottom of this website page. Thank you! “][/stextbox]

[stextbox id=”info” caption=”As requested by the user Jay Bee now it’s possible to close the sponsored windows without showing any alert. If you wish to avoid being notified when the TeamViewer popup was closed, please download the ‘NoNotification’ version bellow.”][/stextbox]

    1. It’s working on this side for Team Viewer 11… If you see a flashing red X that means you clicked it and it’s on “pause” mode. Click again to uncheck the “pause” option and leave it like that.
      Then try again.

    1. Hi, thank you for your comment and request. Yes it’s possible, and it’s done! 🙂 It’s already online here. Please try it and let me know if it works.

    1. Consider it done! The post was updated and now it’s possible to close TeamViewer sponsored window without showing any notification, just download the “NoNotification” version. 🙂

  1. Hi,

It works :), im guessing this is written using autoit?
Is it possible to have the code or a .au3 file for this so that I can modify it a little?

  2. Hey I have to some remote of customer and dont want any pop up .So do i have to install this software on my computer or on customers computer?

    1. This checks for an open window every second. If the advert window exists, it activates it and then sends the command to close it. You’re probably taking out the focus of the advert when reconnecting. Try to just do one TeamViewer session to see if it works.

    1. To make it for Hungarian language I need your help. Please send me text that appears on the advertise window title. Has to be exactly the same, including capital letters or symbols and special characters.

  3. It is not working for me on a Windows Vista pc. I installed the “Kill TeamViewer Sponsored Session Window (x86) (No Notification)” to kill popups from Teamviewer 11. It’s active but the popups keep appearing.
    Any suggestions?

    1. I’m sorry to hear about that, please confirm if you have a red “X” in the system tray (next to the Windows clock), if you have this “X” this means the program is in pause mode, press it to un-pause it.

  4. Firstly thank you, ive been running different autoIT scripts and this just works perfectly!
A concern though. We installed this onto our numerous kiosks with one other unrelated update. Since then the machines have been eating 500mb of data a day. I received a virus warning when i ran kill teamviewer. Can anyone confirm if this could be eating data.

    1. Thank you for your feedback, is very important!

This little program is only waiting for the Window to show up, doesn’t transfer any data, so the problem will come from other place.
If you are really concern I can provide you the source code and you can have a look.

        1. Probably yes. The aim with this tool is to help people who doesn’t know anything about scripting and are looking for a quick and easy solution. Also, as far as I know this is the only multilanguage script/tool available.

  5. Your popup killer is the absolute best I’ve found!! Great Job!!! I try my best to come back when I have more time! Very much appreciated!!!

  6. Hello,

What do you need to make it compatible with french teamviewer ? (or if the source is available i could probably do it myself…)
For info in french popup title is :
    Sessions sponsorisées
    Text is :
C’était une session gratuite sponsorisée par http://www.teamviewer.com
Ces sessions sont gratuites pour un usage privé.
Merci de jouer franc jeu !

    1. Hi Murlock,

Thank you for your comment and your help to provide this in more languages.

I have updated every file for TeamViewer Popup Killer with the info you provided and now it should be working with the French TeamViewer version.

Please download it, try and let me know the results.

If you like this and my other software please share it with your friends and family 😉

  7. Doesn’t seem to work with the latest Windows 10 version latest version of Teamviewer I’m afraid. It counter stat that says it’s successfully closed the popup increments, but the popup remains on-screen without being closed!

  8. Neither version 2.1 or 2.2 works in XP – they both fail to start with a message that the file is not a valid Win32 application. I thought I read that XP was still supported?

    1. That sounds like you need to install .NET framework for Windows XP. However, I am not sure if the latest version of .NET framework for Windows Xp will work, as Microsoft stop supporting Windows XP.

        1. Reseaching your question, I actually learnt something myself. So, thank you.
With that in mind, I created a specific version to work with Windows XP, which should also work with Windows 7, 8 and 10.
I tested with a Windows XP and it worked.
Please head to this post https://www.gromastech.com/download/teamviewer-popup-killer-2-2/ and you can find the XP version to download, just bellow the “normal” TeamViewer Popup Killer “download” button.
