As requested by the user “Klepp0906”, an option to hide the icon on the Windows system tray was added. This is working but I still consider it as a testing/experimental feature.

Another feature added was the “dark mode” theme. This far from perfect, and its there as a market research, so please let me know in the comments what do you think about this, and  if you actually want a dark mode.

What’s new?
In this new version it’s now possible to close the “File Transfer Session” popup automatically (still in experimental phase), as suggested in the comments by the user Steve Harris.

The text showing how much time you saved with this program, now is shown in a more neat way.

A new preset was added in German language (Thank you Nadine Bohr) that will allow to work with the German version of TeamViewer. (Don’t forget that this can be used in any language of TeamViewer, you just need to activate and set up the custom title options in settings.)

Some other corrections were made internally to fix some issues, if you want to know details, check the change log included in the “About” tab of TeamViewer Popup Killer.

This program is free to use, however, if you use and like this, please consider doing a small donation to give your support and encourage me to keep giving you free software. If all people who use this application could at least donate just 1 dollar/euro/pound/etc this would help keeping up with the costs to maintain this website. Think about it

Most (if not all) antivirus have already built in protection against this types of ransomware, so why do you need this?

Imagine that you just got a fresh new installed Windows, you still don’t have an antivirus installed but you want to make sure you are protected…

Just use Xtra Protect, click click and you are protected.

Xtra protect is NOT an Antivirus, think it like an Antivirus Assistant. Xtra protect function is to create some files in your Windows directory that will prevent ransomware from getting your system infected.

At the moment, Xtra Protect will only protect you from the ransomware shown in the program. In the future, I might add some more protections to other variants of ransomware.

These pictures on your lockscreen will change every day, and if there is some picture you don’t like, you can just click where it says “Not a fan”, on right top corner of the screen and that image will just disappear. However, if you like the picture, you can click the “I want more” button and Windows will try to show you pictures within the same style.

If you get often bothered for having just one picture, you should definitely activate Windows Spotlight feature.

Although this is a very good feature, unfortunately it doesn’t let you save the showed pictures….Until now!!

With this application you can save all the images that you have seen in your Windows Lock Screen.

This is a very simple and easy to use application. You just need to press the “Get Images” button and then choose what images to save, or just save them all!

You can opt to save only some images based on their resolution, or you can select just some images.

Tip: To select only a few images, press and hold CTRL key on your keyboard while clicking the image names in image list.

The images will be saved in a folder called “Spotlight Pictures” in your “Pictures” folder, but you can change this location using the “Browse” button to choose another location.

When you’re ready, just press “Save Images” and wait for the process to finish.

Simple as that! Oh and did I mention that IT’S FREE!!?

To solve this problem, I remembered to create the Keyboard and Mouse Cleaner software!

So, how does this works…?

…It’s a very simple but powerful application. You just need to choose the cleaning time (ex: 60 seconds) and press the big broom icon.

For those 60 seconds (or the time you chose), your keyboard and mouse will be disabled, so you can clean it without worrying to press any keys and accidentally shut down your computer.

This little tool is available in English and Portuguese. If you have an idea for a new feature for this software, please let us know.

Since Windows Vista, Microsoft implemented the UAC (User Account Control) to protect users from malicious software, specially the ones which adds themselves to the Windows startup, to be executed at Windows logon, like viruses.

However this type of “extra” security doesn’t know 100% what kind of software is malicious and what isn’t, which is a problem. Some programs you use have the option to start with Windows to give you quick access to them, or simply to check for updates. If the UAC doesn’t trust those software it will block it at startup and you will see something like the image bellow (image from Windows Vista):

That’s why I created the Quick Run Adder, a free portable software…

What does it do? It’s simple, imagine that you have MS Outlook open, a Word and an Excel document open, and also your favorite music player, but you need to  reboot Windows because of an update (or any other reason). With Quick Run Adder you just add those Word and Excel documents, MS Outlook and your music player to the Windows Startup, then when you logon into Windows, those documents and applications will open automatically.

Will this documents/apps open everytime I logon into my Windows account?

The answer is no…And also yes… You can choose what to do! You can choose to only start those documents/apps one time, or everytime the system reboots.

Take a time to download and test this application, you will realize that is very easy to work with.
