Xtra Protect 2 – With better detection and available in Portuguese

Xtra Protect has just been updated to version 2!

What’s new?

Well, to start, Xtra Protect is now available in Portuguese with a language selection window at the program startup.

Also, to help you to identify your Windows name and version, Xtra Protect displays this information at the status bar.

We also updated the way that Xtra Protect checks for the WannaCry vulnerability to instantly let you know if you are protected, so you won’t need to go online to check if you are protected, based on some alert message given by Xtra Protect. Now there is at least 3 checks that Xtra Protect does to check your system against WannaCry.

We made some cosmetic changes, along with some text errors corrections, for example, Petya is not a ransomware, it’s actually a data destroyer virus, because it gives you no option to recover your files. Xtra Protect was still checking for this vulnerability, but the text was just not right.

The feedback given to you (the user) is now more clear, and you will have more information at your hands to help you in case your system is not protected.

If you are here for the first time… What is Xtra Protect?

Xtra Protect will help you to keep your computer safe from Petya, WannaCry and Bad Rabbit ransomwares.

With this little tool, you can protect your computer from this ransomware virus.

Imagine that you just got a fresh new installed Windows, you still don’t have an antivirus installed but you want to make sure you are protected before you start installing other software…

Just use Xtra Protect, click click and you are protected.

Xtra protect is NOT an Antivirus, think it like an Antivirus Assistant. Xtra protect function is to create some files in your Windows directory that will prevent ransomware from getting your system infected.

At the moment, Xtra Protect will only protect you from the ransomware shown in the program. In the future, I might add some more protections to other variants of ransomware.

Password Protect Folders with the updated Protect Folder v3.2

If you’re here for the first time, Protect Folder is a free software to lock and block your folders access with or without password. This will avoid curious people from accessing your private folders and also keep it safe from virus. Use it to block your videos, images, documents or any other content from curious eyes!

Protect Folder integrates into the folders context menu in order to quickly help you locking/protect and unlocking/unprotect folders!

Since Protect Folder version 3.0 we introduced a new feature so long-awaited by all Protect Folder users, the possibility to recover your lost passwords!

Now you just need to enter a recover email address and if you forget your password you’ll be able to recover it using your email address.

Protect Folder v3.x is free of charge, however, it has some Premium features and you’ll need a license to use them. If you wish to get a license please click here.

FIXED: Sending emails – There was an issue with the “send email” feature in case you forgot your password, due to server updates. Now it’s fixed.

NEW: Check “working directory” – If the “working directory” was deleted after being used by Protect Folder, when you open Protect Folder again this could give an error while trying to protect a folder. Now Protect Folder with check if the selected “working folder” exists before continue.

NEW: Protect Folder Updater – With this new update system, you won’t have to do the file moving manually. Just press the update button and let Protect Folder work for you automatically.

Unfortunately Protect Folder v3.0 and above can’t recover passwords from folders protected with previous versions of Protect Folder, this is because this is a new feature added to Protect Folder v3.0 and above.
If you try to protect a folder with only a 0 byte file it will show the ErrorX25, this is not really important because if a file has 0 byte it means it has no information at all. However if you think this is important to you, just request this feature using the contact form or the comments bellow.
Using the TAB key with protect folder is not very user-friendly due to some issues with the skin.

The new improved version of TeamViewer Popup Killer is here!

If you already tried our TeamViewer Popup Killer to close those annoying “Sponsored session” popups from TeamViewer remote software, you know what this little software is capable of doing!

For those who are here for the first time, in short, TeamViewer Popup Killer is a little non intrusive software that will close all the “Sponsored session” window left behind by TeamViewer when you terminate a connection.

What’s new?
In this new version it’s now possible to close the “File Transfer Session” popup automatically (still in experimental phase), as suggested in the comments by the user Steve Harris.

The text showing how much time you saved with this program, now is shown in a more neat way.

A new preset was added in German language (Thank you Nadine Bohr) that will allow to work with the German version of TeamViewer. (Don’t forget that this can be used in any language of TeamViewer, you just need to activate and set up the custom title options in settings.)

Some other corrections were made internally to fix some issues, if you want to know details, check the change log included in the “About” tab of TeamViewer Popup Killer.

This program is free to use, however, if you use and like this, please consider doing a small donation to give your support and encourage me to keep giving you free software. The new version of TeamViewer Popup Killer is here! With new and improved features!

If you already tried our TeamViewer Popup Killer to close those annoying “Sponsored session” popups from TeamViewer remote software, you will love this new improved version!

What’s new?
Well, with this new version it’s now possible to close the “sponsored session” popup windows automatically, but also, close the “timed out” and “commercial use suspected” popups, all automatically.

It’s now possible for this program to start automatically with Windows login, so you don’t need Quick Run Adder program for it.

You can now choose the frequency that Team Viewer Popup Killer will look for the popups and close them.

You can choose which popups to close, sponsored, time out or commercial use popups.

You now have full control over the program, you can start or stop it anytime without the need of closing it.

You now also have statistics that will show you how many popups were closed and the time you saved.

What are the “suspected commercial use” popups?

This popups show up when you connect too many times in a row to a computer, like the IT support does in a company. Windows 10 Spotlight Images 2 Wallpapers Software

Spotlight Images 2 Wallpapers main window

Windows 10 was released with a nice cool feature called Spotlight. Spotlight lets you have random nice pictures at lock screen of your computer or Windows tablet.

These pictures on your lockscreen will change every day, and if there is some picture you don’t like, you can just click where it says “Not a fan”, on right top corner of the screen and that image will just disappear. However, if you like the picture, you can click the “I want more” button and Windows will try to show you pictures within the same style.

If you get often bothered for having just one picture, you should definitely activate Windows Spotlight feature.

Although this is a very good feature, unfortunately it doesn’t let you save the showed pictures….Until now!!

Today I bring you Spotlight Images 2 Wallpapers FREE application!

With this application you can save all the images that you have seen in your Windows Lock Screen.

This is a very simple and easy to use application. You just need to press the “Get Images” button and then choose what images to save, or just save them all!

You can opt to save only some images based on their resolution, or you can select just some images.

Tip: To select only a few images, press and hold CTRL key on your keyboard while clicking the image names in image list.

The images will be saved in a folder called “Spotlight Pictures” in your “Pictures” folder, but you can change this location using the “Browse” button to choose another location.

When you’re ready, just press “Save Images” and wait for the process to finish.

Simple as that! Oh and did I mention that IT’S FREE!!? 🙂

Most of you are already familiarized with Team Viewer that allow you to remote connect to your home computer from any location in the world where Internet access is available. For those who doesn’t know this great piece of software you really should give it a try.

Team Viewer is free for personal/non-commercial use, however, every time that you end the connection in Team Viewer you will see a pop up reminding you that you are using a free version of TeamViewer like the one bellow:

We know this is very annoying, specially when you are accessing a non supervised PC and don’t want the pop up to be there left behind.. And that’s why Gromicho AF Systems created a simply Popup killer only to close that annoying window.

The little application will stay in the Windows system tray and will constantly look for the “Sponsored window” and when it finds it, will give it focus and then close it. You will see just a notification telling you that the Window is gone!

Keyboard and Mouse Cleaner

A couple days ago I went to clean my keyboard to remove dust, but my computer was turned on. Because i couldn’t shut it down, or don’t want to because i had some files and programs opened, i wasn’t able to clean the keyboard at that time, because if i did i would mess it up when i was pressing keys while cleaning…

To solve this issue i remember something, i remember to create the Keyboard and Mouse Cleaner software!
